- Sporox II Sterilizing and Disinfecting Solution. Powerful hydrogen peroxide formula for the sterilization or high level disinfection of heat-sensitive dental instruments. Virucidal, sporicidal, tuberculocidal, fungicidal, and bactericidal. Safer and more pleasant for dentists and their staff to use than the irritating and noxious glutaraldehyde-based disinfectants it replaces. Unlike glutaraldehydes that can chemically bond infectious proteins to dental instruments, new Sporox II oxidizes away dental debris quickly and effectively at room temperature. Safer for soft metal instruments containing brass or copper. Poured directly into the soaking container without any need for mixing, heating or activation. Fast-acting formula achieves high-level disinfection in 30 minutes and sterilization in 6 hours at room temperature (20 degrees C/68 degrees F). May be re-used for up to 21 days. Test Vials are available to determine when the solution in your soaking container needs to be changed.
