- STEAM INDICATORS - VIAL. This Attest Biological indicator is to be used with the Attest Biological Indicator Monitoring Kit. This particular vial indicator can be used in EITHER gravity OR vacuum assisted steam sterilizers. Attest Biological indicators contain "Bacillus stearothermophilus" spores especially resistant to steam sterilization process. Following the sterilization cycle, the vial is crushed, providing media that will promote growth of any spores that may not have been killed during the sterilization process. 100/bx Not to be used with dry heat, chemical vapor, ethylene oxide or other low temperature sterilization processes. This particular indicator provide a visual color readout within 48 hours, whereas the 3M1261 provides results within 24 hours.
