3M115 Kit Monitoring Attest Biological F/steam 1/kt 3M
- 3M "Attest" Biological Indicator Starter Kit. Used to monitor steam sterilization procedures for steam sterilizers in physician offices to ensure against undetected process failures. User runs Biological Indicator containing "Bacillus stearothermophilus" through sterilization cycle. After 48 hrs in the incubator, indicator is checked for growth of any spores that may not have been killed during the sterilization cycle. Record results in Log Book. The kit contains everything needed to begin the Attest system: one roll 3M 222-6 indicator tape, one box 3M 1262p biological indicators, a 3M 116 incubator, one bag 3M 1243b chemical integrators, one 3M 1266 log book, inservice video and wall chart. Not to be used with dry heat, chemical vapor, ethylene oxide or other low temperature sterilization processes.
