- ARGYLE TURKEL Safety Thoracentesis Procedure Tray with Safety Components 8 Fr. 5 in. catheter length. This thoracentesis tray offers the safety design system of the "Turkel" filter aspiration system. A blunt cannula is housed within the belved hollow needle. During penetration it withdraws into the shaft of the needle then automatically extends beyond the needle bevel once the needle enters free space. This protects underlying tissue from inadvertent needle penetration. Cannula has multiple side holes for drainage or aspiration. A color change indicator located in the hub of the needle turns red as the cannula is withdrawn into the shaft of the needle and green as the cannula extends beyond the needle bevel. Tray comes complete for thoracentesis procedure.
