- Unna-Flex Elastic Unna Boot is the ONLY elastic Unna Boot. It wraps easily and smoothly with no cutting required. Conforms to shape of leg. For use on Venous Stasis ulcers in combination with outer compression wrap. An Unna Boot is a gauze bandage that is saturated with a soothing blend of ointments. The gauze is impregnated with either a zinc-oxide or calamine paste, and are available either in 3-inch or 4-inch widths. The ointment covered bandage is applied from the length of the foot to the knee, a dry gauze bandage is then applied over the paste and it is then followed by the application of an ace wrap (elastic bandage).
