- 3M Microfoam surgical tape is the highly conformable elastic foam tape for compression applications or securing dressings on challenging areas. 1 in. x 5-1/2 yd, stretched. Has secure adhesion that conforms to irregularly contoured sites. Microfoam gives with swelling and can be used to provide compression. This tape is water resistant and hypoallergenic. Suggested applications include: abdominal, thoracic and orthopedic surgical dressings; for compression over cardiovascular/angiosites, breast biopsies and surgical sites and for central line dressings.
