- The Complete Inflation System includes the outside Nylon Cuff, internal Inflation Bag/Bladder, Tubing to fit to monitor, the Bulb and Air-Flo Control Valve. Calibrated V-lok system immediately and clearly indicates whether the correct cuff size is being used. Genuine Velcro hook and loop fasteners are used to provide the optimal number of open-close cycles. The center of the bladder is clearly marked on the inner and outer surface for correct application on either the right or left limb. The cuff material is a tightly woven, urethane coated, heat-set Dacron Polyester fabric. It is stain-resistant and dimensionally stable. May be used with Baum or any other 2-tube Blood Pressure instrument. Choose the appropriate size cuff based on the circumference of the patient's bare upper arm. The bladder (inside the cuff) should encircle 80 percent of an adult's arm and, for a child less than 13 years old, 100 percent. A cuff/bladder that is too narrow for the arm will result in a high blood pressure reading. This situation may lead to the overtreatment of hypertension; conversely, using a cuff too large may lead to the undertreatment of hypertension. Have a full range of cuff sizes available to accommodate your patient population. Model 1823 fits sizes of: NEWBORN from 7.7-10.5cm.
